What To Expect
There’s a stigma that it’s considered weak to seek help, especially mental health help. I’ve learned it takes more strength to face our challenges than it does to avoid them, which tends to be our default.
Therapy is a place to share your experiences with someone who truly wants to help you navigate your life and reach a place of peace. I say peace with intention. Reaching for a place of total happiness isn’t necessarily realistic. Happiness is an emotion like all other emotions, it comes and goes. It is not an absolute. Peace can be with us through all life experiences, only coming and going in intensity.
I will do my best to help you discover more peace in your life. You will learn how to become more emotionally self-regulated, more in-tune with yourself, think and live by your authentic self, and continue to strive toward the best version of you.
You can cry. You can laugh. You can talk my ear off. You can sit in silence. You can share your deepest fears, worries, trauma. You can share your general day-to-day life stories. Make it what you want.
As an added bonus, due to telehealth visits, my dogs will likely make an appearance in our sessions. Bowie (right) and Pearl (left) are known to cause smiles.
I encourage you to contact me for more information and find out if I’m the right therapist for you.
